In August, The Icelandic Farmers Association hosted an annual meeting of the Nordic Farmers’ Associations (NBC) where representatives from Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark convened to address shared challenges and opportunities in Nordic agriculture, focusing on food security, sustainability, and energy.

The event featured the introduction of the Terraforming LIFE project, a visionary initiative aimed at environmental restoration and sustainable resource management. 

The gathering took place in Þorlákshöfn, the planned site for the upcoming Terraforming LIFE facility.

Delegates learned about the project’s potential to transform degraded ecosystems and support sustainable agriculture across the region.

The meeting underscored the commitment of Nordic farmers to collaborate on cutting-edge solutions that address climate challenges while preserving agricultural productivity.
