Aiming to to optimize farmers´ interests and operating conditions in agriculture

Main goal

Within our initiative lies the goal to create a sustainable framework that not only enhances agricultural practices but also ensure that farmers receive tangible value for their manure.

The aim is that manure is not merely a byproduct but a valuable asset contributing to the economic prosperity and environmental sustainability of the farming community.

Main role

Responsibility

In our collaborative effort to advance sustainable fertilizer production, the Icelandic Farmers Association holds a pivotal role in orchestrating two key facets of the project: The planning of manure collection and the facilitation of agreements with farmers for the supply of manure.

Beyond the direct involvement in the operational aspects, the Association is committed to oversee the communication and dissemination activities throughout the duration of the project.

We will actively engage in creating and executing communication and dissemination strategies to keep stakeholders well-informed about project milestones, challenges, and successes as well as sharing project updates and outcomes with a broader audience to foster transparency and awareness.
