Terraforming LIFE has been granted a one year extension. The project was originally planned to run from June 2023 to May 2027 but has now been extended to May 2028. This extension gives us valuable time to deepen our research and expand the project’s impact. 

Lately, we have been collecting more samples of animal manure and other potential side streams for further analysis.

Our latest collection includes horse manure from a stable in Akranes – where this beautiful horse kindly posed for a photo.

We have also sourced waste from Lýsi hf, an Icelandic company known for its high-quality fish oil products. The waste is rich in fats and could hold exciting potential for our work with organic fertilizer and biogas production.

Both samples have now been sent for analysis and we are excited to see the results!
